We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us as a Internal Transport Manager to support our Home Delivery Network.
Salary - £39,645
Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure team is equipped to deliver products and service
- Ensure depot is compliant and therefore able to deliver
- Manage the smooth running of depot
- Inspire team to live by Sell More principle

What Skills and qualifications are required for my role?
- Comprehensive & up to date knowledge of transport & employment law is essential.
- Familiarity with transport management systems
- Competent in transport operations legislation
- Working knowledge of transport/driver hours and regulations
- Working geographical knowledge of the country and the motorway network.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook.
- Knowledge of transport legislation & O Licence 3 year’s minimum direct experience.
- GCSEs or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
- Previous experience with two man home delivery would be a distinct advantage
- Have understanding of drivers working time directive.
- Able to plan customer service under tight cost control.
- Works co-operatively and willingly with others to achieve common objectives.
- Has a sense of urgency and works diligently to achieve timelines.
- Familiar with working within a high performance culture.
- Previously lead a team of colleagues in a high pressure environment
- Strong PC skills
- Effective Interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- I have experience in budget control
Experience in working with other members of management to learn and achieve best practice
Education & Experience Requirements:
- C.P.C. holder (essential)
- I.O.S.H. (desirable)
