The detail:

Our Manufacturing centre in Birstall, Leicestershire are looking for a 38.5 hour a week Trainee or Experienced Mechanic who will, to work from 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday and 7:30am - 12pm on a Friday. Salary will depend on Experience, plus benefits.

We produce beautiful bespoke window treatment and accessories for our customers, finished to a high standard. Every product we create, whether it is our made-to-measure curtains and blinds, or stunning cushions and tie backs, are all tailored around the needs of our individual customers.

You will gain an understanding into how each product is created from start to finish and become familiar with the product life cycle.

The Role:

  • You will carry out Preventative Maintenance,
  • You will assist in the repair of machinery and other equipment
  • Maintain Regular Servicing of Machinery.
  • You will Carry out Daily/Weekly/Monthly Health and Safety Checks, problem solve and become a polite and skill-full colleague.

Ideally you would have worked as a Trained Mechanic in the past in a similar industry.

A good eye for detail is imperative as all our bespoke items are completely unique and we want people to join us who are enthusiastic about our customers and the products we create.

You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Knowledge and previous experience from the textiles/hosiery industry would be an advantage.
