On the hunt for a graduate scheme that’s challenging, exciting – and as unique as you are? Our Tech Graduate Scheme could be just what you’re after.

We’re the UK’s number one homeware retailer, turning houses into homes across the UK since 1979. Today, with over 170 superstores across the country and a successful online operation – dunelm.com – we’re an industry-leading, instantly recognisable brand and offer over 50,000 products across a broad range of categories.

How did we get this far? By understanding our customers and constantly innovating and improving the way we do things. And we’re nowhere near finished. That’s why we’re on the lookout for fearless go-getters, ambitious self-starters and creative innovators who’ve got the passion and determination to take charge of their careers – and shape the future of our industry. That’s where you come in.

What to expect:

Tech teams at Dunelm are full of confident, ambitious innovators, blazing a trail for our company’s future growth. We use agile methodologies that enable us to fail fast, change direction and drive continuous improvement - for the benefit of our customers and our business.

Join us as a graduate and you’ll get to rotate across each of our teams, gaining experience of everything from business analysis and project management to software development and cyber security.

Over two years you’ll:

  • Use data analysis and software to take our products, processes and services to the next level
  • Drive the transformation of our digital platform, ensuring our customers get the best possible online service and influencing the future technical direction of our business
  • See how coding with the latest tech brings our website and internal software to life
  • Learn how important quality and testing are for ensuring our systems work seamlessly
  • Measure the cyber security situation across the organisation and provide high-quality security advice to business leaders
  • Get to know a member of the Executive Board of Directors with quarterly catch-ups
  • Team up with fellow graduates on a business project that will give you exposure to our executive team
  • Work in and learn various areas of programming including React, Node, AWS, Typescript, GraphQL and APIs

What you’ll bring:

  • A genuine passion for technology (please indicate your preferred programming languages on your application)
  • Desire and potential to become a future leader at Dunelm
  • Strong analytical thinking and a knack for solving challenging problems
  • The resilience and ambition to drive your own development and the eagerness to constantly find new learning opportunities
  • Brilliant written and verbal communication skills
  • A minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent in a relevant field

Our benefits:

Our range of benefits are just as unique as our graduate schemes and include a 15% colleague discount on all our products.
