Job Description

Dunelm is looking for a Supply Chain Planning and Optimisation Manager to ensure the business has a view of the delivery requirement to each customer channel in both the short and longer term, whilst ensuing it is done in the most cost-efficient manner. The role focusses on providing data for effective operational planning with the Supply chain teams, and acting as a Business Partner for the Commercial, Import, Digital and Finance teams, working to determine the optimum stock throughput plans so that we can meet our growth forecast plans using the most efficient supply channel. This role will report into the Head of Supply Chain Planning and Supplier Operations.

Strategy & Optimisation

•Collaborate with cross functional colleagues to develop and communicate a comprehensive supply chain plan that aligns future stock requirement based on available operations and has a view of risk and opportunity at both a financial and operational level.

•Ensuring continuous improvement by contributing to regular reviews of learnings and opportunities and improving forecast accuracy for the supply chain.

•Influence and align teams as a key business partner to other areas of the business to ensure shared goals and outcomes

Stock Planning

•Works across all key business areas to ensure we have an accurate short and longer term requirement for stock holding & throughput across each channel and publish the supply chain tracker weekly, whilst developing it and improving its accuracy.

• Scenario planning changes in the supply chain and their impact based on financial, operational and or economic constraints to help guide the decision on the best way forward.

•Ensure the operations are focusing on the key product at the right time through prioritisation of work both from an inbound and outbound prospective.

•Work with Commercial and Operational teams to ensure was maximise the amount of stock, particularly seasonal and furniture through the most profitable route reducing movements before final despatch to customer.

•Working with Trading teams, Central Merchandise and Supply Chain to forecast space requirement orders and identify potential over capacity risk.

•Provide an independent assessment of our forward risk profile.

•Provide clear communication for the Supply chain and commercial teams describing the current stock position and forward view of requirements.

•Monitor and adjust forecasts based on trends and forward-looking insights. Following S& OP Principles and lead the business with its development.

•Support and Complete a small number of strategic projects, such as lead time reviews, container fill maximisation, origin shipment options supporting the wider supply chain.
