As a business we are embarking on a journey to improve and
optimise the people systems and processes we use. At the heart of this
transformation is to enhance the Colleague experience.
Reporting to the Head of Colleague Experience, this is a
standalone role that will work closely with the People Services, Technology and
People Business Partner teams to design, deliver and embed the system and
process change programme. This will help deliver process simplification,
support the people service delivery, improve MI reporting and improve
compliance, therefore reducing risk.
Key
Accountabilities
Project Management:
- Manage multiple
system and process improvement initiatives simultaneously to ensure
deadlines are met and solutions are implemented effectively and delivering
maximum value
- Accountable for
realising business benefit and early value generation through outcome
execution
- Identify
potential risks within the programme and proactively manage issues
- Represent the
voice of the colleague experience on a day-to-day basis in interactions
with the wider business
Communication:
- Engage in
pro-active dialogue with key stakeholders to understand pressing
priorities / identify new opportunity
- Articulate both
the Technical solution but also the Commercial/Colleague impact of
initiatives, to gain business support and understanding.
- Stay abreast of
industry trends and opportunities
- Measure and
communicate benefits / value derived / return on investment following
delivery of new process / system initiatives
Process Engineering:
- Understand the
opportunities to improve process and be the process expert within the
People team
- Map out current and new
processes, undertaking live demonstration and time and motion studying if
required to gain better analysis
- Document
all relevant processes to ensure all system improvements can be maintained
by the current team
Delivery:
- Work with the
Tech team and business owners to prioritise the order of work and ensure
the focus is on the most valuable requirements / initiatives
- Make day-to-day
decisions on functionality basing those decisions on knowledge of the
business area, customer and where possible empirical evidence
- Take an active
role in release planning, working closely with the Delivery Manager to
determine which features will be grouped into releases
- Review accuracy /
quality of delivery (incl via UAT), rejecting features with significant
defects or where they contradict the objective
