Data is integral to the path that Dunelm are on and it’s an area of the business that really gets us excited. Data, Insight and Analytics has been recognised by the business as a key enabler for the next phase of growth and Dunelm is investing in both technology and people to deliver this.

The wider team covers Insight and Analytics, Data Engineering and Business Intelligence. During the 2-year programme, you'll spend 6 months in 4 different rotations, working in each of these data teams and our Dunelm.com team to increase your understanding of the breadth of our business, while developing your technical skills. Each rotation will feature challenging and rewarding projects and daily work, developing your capabilities and personal network.

Who are we?

Dunelm is the leading homewares retailer in the UK with revenues over £1billion and profit over £100million. It has over 170 superstores and a website which accounts for over 20% of sales. It all started on a market stall in Leicester in 1979 and has been a story of strong growth ever since…

What are we looking for?

  • The retail landscape and our customers’ needs are constantly changing. You should always be curious; questioning ideas and showing a keen interest in learning
  • You will work in a fast-paced environment where everything evolves very quickly. You’ll maintain momentum by promoting agile working and ensuring we constantly deliver for our customers
  • Analysing a variety of commercial problems, you'll find patterns and anomalies, suggesting solutions to drive our performance and fine-tune our processes by adopting new analytical methods
  • We collaborate by listening to new ideas, as well as voicing our own, in order to deliver and develop the best service for our customers
  • Your ability to build relationships and communicate complex information to a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders will be key to the success of the real-life projects you will be working on
  • You'll have a keen interest in future technologies, strong research, critical thinking skills and an inquisitive mind-set.
  • This programme will develop your statistical knowledge, passion for data or any programming skills you may already hold. You’ll gain a deep understanding of the theoretical grounds of machine learning and mathematical frameworks

If you have a background in an Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, Statistical or a related scientific or engineering degree, we invite you to help shape our future as we take the first steps in our journey to becoming a digitally advanced retailer.
