Job Description

The Head of Brand Editorial will further develop our exciting market leading homewares brand by shaping, establishing and building a high performing content editorial team. You will create strong and engaging content across all channels, working closely with the Director of Brand and Marketing to deliver clear, engaging and differentiated brand messaging.

The Head of Brand Editorial Content has responsibility to define and develop the editorial strategy, driving resonance and relevance with our key audience segments through a story telling approach to all channels. Sourcing and presenting opportunities to develop and deliver the overarching brand narrative through appropriate, thoughtful, novel, engaging and meaningful storytelling across brand creative projects.

The role will help build Dunelm’s cultural community, creating links between the brand narrative and content, to enrich our creative output through editorial story telling and harness as a force for positive cultural change.

We’re looking for someone who is experienced, confident, unflappable and caring, who can speak authentically to the Dunelm audience and can build a high performing team.

As a core team member of the Brand team, this role will sit on the Senior Management Team and will have a big voice within Dunelm.

Key Duties:

  • Work with the Director of Brand and marketing to define and develop the editorial strategy, driving resonance and relevance with our key audience segments through a story telling approach to all channels.
  • Define and refine our brand TOV, style and approach to story telling and embed with all channel owners
  • Lead on the ideation and development of themes and stories, identifying hooks and curating engaging long and short form content, ensuring effective execution across the creative teams
  • Team management of the editorial teams, ensuring they are motivated, engaged and that deliverables are met and measured effectively

    Key Skills

  • Solid experience in editorial content either from a publishing or brand background (preferably multichannel with exposure to interiors/fashion space)
  • Experience running campaigns from strategy to execution – Driving the strategy and execution of content.
  • Evidence of leading innovative and relevant campaigns (ideally in interiors or fashion space)
  • A passion for story telling and a talent for identifying hooks and curating engaging long and short form content
  • A strong editorial instinct honed either in publishing or branded content
  • AN understanding of how strong editorial can be leveraged to create significant audience growth
  • A broad understanding of lifestyle content marketing, publishing and the social media landscape
  • Management of editorial teams
  • A passion for interiors, fashion and/or design
  • Ready to help shape and develop and exciting brand, with a flair for innovative brand creative.
