Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to join our Colleague Services team focused around the delivery and support of Finance solutions. Reporting to the Head Of Colleague Services, the Delivery Manager is responsible for coordinating the development and support activities undertaken by one or more squads ensuring that they deliver to the commitments and priorities agreed with Finance stakeholders and Product owner(s).  You will work closely with Finance business colleagues, Business Analysts, QAs, Delivery Managers in other Domains/Focus Areas, Functional experts, Solutions Architects and 3rd parties in an evolving agile environment. You will be passionate about delivering high quality end to end outcomes with a focus on value for our customers. We believe in collaboration and so on a daily basis you will work closely with the business and leadership to coordinate, communicate and create transparency. The Delivery Manager is key to evolving our agile ways of working and should have experience in agile techniques.

What you'll do:
  • Be responsible for Finance technology products end to end spanning development, enhancement, maintenance and support.
  • Ensures products and solutions are built to the highest level of quality, appropriate to business objectives with performance, maintainability, security, operability and resilience in mind
  • Operate as the day to day engagement point for Finance Stakeholders & Product owner(s) for the end to end lifecycle of products
  • Work with Finance stakeholder, product owners, tribe leaders and other tribe members to translate business priorities into agreed backlog or action plan
  • Develop agile ways of working across squads with a focus on delivering business outcomes via incremental enhancements
  • Be an active coach and mentor to support our teams development, wellbeing, breaking down silos and influencing.
  • Where required own the relationship with 3rd party suppliers required for product development, enhancement and support
  • Assist the Head Of Colleague Service  in managing capex and opex budgets

Essential Skills Required:

  • 5+ years experience as a Delivery Manager, ideally working within a Retail Finance environment
  • Highly knowledgeable in business processes used within Finance and wider Retail areas
  • Highly knowledgeable in technology products within Finance and Retail
  • Previous SAP/ERP experience is highly advantageous
  • Experienced in agile delivery methodologies (e.g. Kanban, Scrum) and in transitioning teams to agile ways of working
  • Experienced in coaching of people & teams
  • Experience in working with senior business stakeholders including providing appropriate challenge
  • Experience of coordinating cross discipline teams
  • Experience in managing third party suppliers
  • Experience of managing capex and opex budgets
  • Working to tight deadlines and at pace
  • Strong multi-tasking and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities
